Work Programme

The programme of work for the network has been grouped into five work packages (WP) each running for different periods within the four year project:

WP1: Network management
Provides the basic infrastructure needed to operate the network by means of the steering committee, secretariat, web site, communications infrastructure etc.
Duration :- September 2002 to August 2006


WP2: Past performance & practices
Catalogue of past performance, review of problems in achieving durable rehabilitation of concrete structures, identification of success factors in creating durable repairs and rehabilitation, benchmarks, and other factors such as value for money.  more info

WP3: Current performance & practices
Current industry practice, state-of-the-art research reviews, best practice guidance and benchmarks, mapping of RTD activities and standards & regulations.  more info

WP4: Future performance based concepts
Identification of new and improved rehabilitation strategies and methods of delivering these. Examines client aspirations for durable rehabilitation of concrete structures, the development of industry response and ways to deliver these. Leads to a vision for performance concepts to achieve durable rehabilitation of concrete structures, future RTD needs, co-ordination of RTD and other activities, standardisation and CPD issues.
Duration :- December 2003 to March 2006


WP5: Dissemination, Communication, RTD exploitation & IPR
Promotion of findings from the technical activity areas (WP's) to the target audiences by means of a programme of free and charged-for activities, materials and publications. Facilitates the transfer of information and understanding through the supply chain and from research to practice.  more info
