Workshops
The first project meeting was held at BRE on 25th September. It was agreed that the demonstration building air cycle system will be installed in an office building at FRPERC to serve a four-pipe fan coil heating and cooling system. This will give the project better experience of the practical installation effects and site performance of the system.  1st workshop - October 1999 This workshop will demonstrate a working "breadboard" version of the building air cycle heating and cooling unit.  The workshop is open to any one with an interest in air cycle technology and its application in buildings. 2nd workshop - March 2000 This workshop will demonstrate the final working  air cycle heating and cooling unit installation in a building to provide hot and cold water to a four-pipe fan coil system in a suite of offices and laboratories.  Again, the workshop is open to any one with an interest in air cycle technology and its application in buildings. Further industry partners are welcome to join the project and the building air cycle interest group.  There is no fee for participation.  To join see further information.  Further meetings will take the form of workshops and will be held at FRPERC, Langford (near Bristol).  Participants will have the opportunity to meet other members and specialists, and learn more about this exciting technology.
